Because CM is most effective that Umman Chandy for Congreas, Actually What ever Ummanchandy need to do, that CM doing himself, So they dont want to loose him!
If V.S is out of the picture, then All others will go ahead with Pinarayi. Congress doesnt want that.. Simple!

no man, its nothing related to vs as a person... when vs and pinarai joined hands for the successfull "vetti nirathal" of CITU group in palghat congress,..former comrade, MV raghavan had prdicted that, in the next congress pinarai would successfully manage "vetti nirathal" of VS Achuthanandan.
in the coming congress's someone will definitely emerge out for Pinarai also. Because pinarai's way of approach is exactly as that of VS's, the same "vetti nirathal".
